I am Daria, Founder and Host of the WAA Podcast, and I strongly believe that every day is a chance to learn and discover new things about ourselves and the world we live in. WAA Podcast was founded as a source for everyone's own discovery.

Growing up in a family that hosted dinners and social events, I was surrounded by creative, ambitious and curious people. Back in those days we had writers, actors, art critics, journalists and artists all coming over to submerge themselves in thought-provoking discussions and reflections on issues happening around the world, which I was invited to participate in from a young age.

I had a desire to create this intimate experience where a small group of women can meet up, discuss different topics and connect on a personal level, which is how I started organizing dinner parties. The first dinner started with only 12 women, but once word got out, more and more started coming and soon a community was formed with over 200 women. The conversations and connections that were made at these dinners, and the amount of knowledge that was shared, is what inspired the WAA Podcast.

Once the pandemic hit, dinners were no longer possible and I started thinking about how we can continue sharing this knowledge, not just within these exclusive circles, but with a wider audience. A year later, the podcast has grown in ways I never imagined possible. We are now on our second season and have had over 40 remarkable and inspiring women share their stories so far.

We’ve deep dived into different industries including design research, VC investing and energy-centric leadership, and discussed timely topics, both on the podcast and through written interviews, such as accessible healthcare, sustainability in fashion, and how to create equal financial opportunities for all.

Deep inside I am constantly seeking stories and learnings from other people and my hope is to awaken this curiosity for knowledge in WAA Podcast listeners and WAA Stories readers. I invite you to embark on this journey with me.

You can find me in Berlin, either recording in the studio located in the heart of Kreuzberg, moderating panel discussions, interviewing creative people of Berlin or holding lectures on my favorite topics - podcasting and storytelling.
